Texas A&M evened their record at 1-1 with a 19-11 victory over the UL Ragin’ Cajuns on Saturday. The Aggies dropped their season opener to LSU by an identical score. This was the Cajun’s season opener.

The Ragin’ Cajuns jumped out to a 5-2 first quarter lead but the Aggies blasted seven goals in the second quarter to take a 9-6 halftime lead that they never relinquished.

Tanner Castagna led the Cajuns with four goals and an assist. Faceoff specialist Ashton Langlinais added four goals for UL while midfielder Manny Duhon added three goals. Langlinais was 11 of 19 on faceoffs. Goalie Brodie Lejeune stopped 15 Aggie shots.

Texas A&M’s Michael Bryan had five goals and an assist to lead the Aggies.

The Cajuns return to action on February 6th when they take on the Florida Gators at 7:30pm at Muss Bertolino Stadium in Kenner.
